Jeff Birchall, M.D.
Jeff Birchall, M.D. is the Owner & Medical Director of Dermacare Laser & Skin Care Clinic of Rancho Bernardo and Carlsbad. He is a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery as well as the American Association of Aesthetic Medicine. He has a true passion for aesthetic medicine and is often quoted as telling patients, “his job is to make them look as good as they feel.”

Dr. Birchall is a Board Certified family physician. He received his Bachelor's of Science Degree and M.D. from the University of Calgary, Canada, and completed his residency at Foothill Hospital in the University's Family Medicine program. He was a staff physician with Palamar Pomerado Hospital and the VA Hospital in San Diego and physician and past Medical Director of the Penn Elm Medical Group in Escondido, California. He was certified by the Canadian College of Family Physicians before receiving certification from the American Board of Family Practice.

A native of Saskatchawan, Canada, Dr. Birchall has been practicing medicine since 1991. At Dermacare, he enjoys the art of customizing just the right treatment or combination of treatments to give his patients the best results.

One reason for Dr. Birchall’s popularity is his calming and straightforward style, which helps him relate easily with patients on a personal level. He is very active in his church and community, and is an avid ice hockey player. In his free time, you will often find him working in his Escondido backyard garden, a great source of relaxation for him, or spending time with his wife, who was his high school sweetheart, and their four children.
